Yuanyang County

Yuanyang County is located in south-eastern Yunnan province, China. It is well known for its spectacular rice-paddy terracing and its inhabitants who mainly count to the Hani ethnic minority. As the region is still somewhat remote and not to be reached by direct transportation, it's preservation status is still very original and the experience of going there is much more authentic than other, more well known locations. I had the chance to spend a couple of days in the area in March/April 2010. I never published these shots until now.
